Gym Flooring Supply & Installation
We supply and install gym flooring across Dubai and the UAE, from heavy-duty rubber for free weights to comfortable studio floors, matched to how each zone is used.
A gym floor takes real punishment: dropped weights, heavy machines, constant footfall and, in functional zones, dynamic movement. We supply and install rubber flooring in rolls, tiles and interlocking mats, choosing thickness and density to match each area, so the floor protects the subfloor, reduces noise and stays safe and comfortable underfoot.
Different zones need different floors. Free-weight and platform areas need thick, dense rubber to absorb impact. Functional and studio areas can use lighter systems tuned for comfort and grip. Cardio zones prioritise stability and easy cleaning. We plan the floor zone by zone so each area performs and the whole gym looks consistent.
We handle supply and installation together, preparing the subfloor, laying the system cleanly and finishing edges and transitions. Whether it is a home gym, a boutique studio or a full commercial fitness centre, we specify a floor that suits the equipment, the training and the budget.
Surface options
Gym flooring options
Rubber rolls, tiles and interlocking mats cover most gym needs. Thickness and density are matched to each zone.
| System | Indoor / outdoor | Typical use | Maintenance |

| Rubber Gym Flooring | Both | Free weights, functional and cardio zones | Low |
| Polyurethane (PU) Flooring | Indoor | Seamless studio and sprint areas | Low |
| Vinyl Sports Flooring | Indoor | Studio and multi-use rooms | Low |
| Shock Pads & Underlays | Indoor | Extra impact absorption where needed | None |
The build-up
A rubber gym floor build-up
- EPDM wear layer. Coloured EPDM rubber granules bound with polyurethane, wet-poured on site.
- SBR base layer. Black rubber cushioning layer set to the required fall-height thickness.
- Binder course. Bonding layer keying the rubber to the base.
- Base. Asphalt, concrete or compacted aggregate base.
- Sub-base & drainage. Free-draining sub-base beneath.

Custom branding
Colours and line marking
Rubber is available in black with colour flecks or in solid colours, so zones can be colour-coded and brand accents added. Lane lines, lifting-platform outlines and logos can be incorporated where required.
UAE conditions
Gym flooring in the UAE
Most gym floors are indoors and climate-controlled, so the priority is a sound, level subfloor and a system matched to the equipment. For covered outdoor or semi-outdoor training areas, we specify grades suited to temperature and UV so the floor holds up.

Questions
Gym flooring FAQs
What thickness of gym flooring do I need for free weights?
Free-weight and lifting areas need thicker, denser rubber to absorb dropped loads and protect the subfloor, while lighter zones can use thinner systems. We assess the equipment and use of each area and specify the right thickness zone by zone.
Do you install home gym flooring?
Yes. Home gyms are a common request. We measure the room, advise on the best system for your equipment and budget, prepare the floor and install it cleanly, often with interlocking or roll systems that suit residential spaces.
Can gym flooring reduce noise and protect the floor below?
Yes. Dense rubber and, where needed, additional underlays absorb impact and dampen noise, which matters in multi-storey buildings and villas. We can specify systems that protect the structure below and keep neighbours comfortable.
Rolls, tiles or interlocking mats, which is best?
Each suits different situations. Rolls give a seamless look over large areas, tiles are easy to handle and replace, and interlocking mats suit smaller or changing spaces. We recommend based on the room, use and how permanent the floor needs to be.
Can you install gym flooring with minimal downtime?
Often yes. We can phase the work zone by zone so parts of the gym stay open, and schedule the more disruptive stages outside peak hours. We agree the plan with you so members and training are affected as little as possible.
