Running & Jogging Track Installation
We install seamless polyurethane running and jogging tracks across the UAE, from athletics ovals to community and school jogging paths, built for grip and long life.
A running track has to give consistent grip, comfortable energy return and a hard-wearing surface that copes with sun and constant use. We install seamless polyurethane systems, sprayed or textured, that deliver that combination, on a base engineered to the correct falls and levels for drainage and even running.
We build full athletics tracks with lanes and markings, and simpler jogging and fitness tracks for schools, parks, communities and rooftops. The system thickness and finish are matched to the level of use, from a recreational path to a track used for training and events.
The base is everything with a track: it must be level, stable and correctly drained. We prepare it carefully, apply the elastic base and wear layers, then mark lanes and distances accurately. Colours and edge details are planned with you so the finished track looks the part and lasts.
Surface options
Running track surfaces
Polyurethane is the standard athletics and jogging surface. EPDM finishes give bright colour options for community paths.
| System | Indoor / outdoor | Typical use | Maintenance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polyurethane (PU) Flooring | Both | Athletics and jogging tracks | Low |
| EPDM Rubber Flooring | Outdoor | Coloured jogging and fitness paths | Low |
| Drainage & Sub-base | Outdoor | Level, drained track base | None |
| Court Line Marking | Outdoor | Lane and distance marking | Occasional refresh |
The build-up
A polyurethane track build-up
- PU wear layer. Seamless polyurethane top layer with a sprayed or textured finish.
- Elastic PU base. Cushioned polyurethane and rubber layer for energy return.
- Primer. Bonding primer that keys the system to the base.
- Asphalt or concrete base. Rigid, level base built to the required falls.
- Compacted sub-base. Prepared sub-base and drainage.
Specifications
Track specifications
A standard athletics oval is shown; jogging and fitness tracks are set out to suit the site.
| Standard athletics oval | 400m, typically 8 lanes |
|---|---|
| Lane width | Around 1.22m per lane |
| Sprint / straight track | Set to available length |
| Jogging path | Width and route to suit the site |
| Surface | Seamless polyurethane, sprayed or textured |
| Base | Level asphalt or engineered base with correct falls |
| Marking | Lanes, distances and start/finish lines |
Custom branding
Colours and line marking
Tracks are commonly finished in athletics red, but blues, greens and other colours are available, and infield or lane colours can be varied. Distance markers, lane numbers and logos can be added where wanted.
UAE conditions
Running tracks and UAE heat
Outdoor polyurethane systems are UV-stable to resist fading and surface breakdown under strong sun, and the texture keeps grip in the dry. Correct falls and a drained base keep the track usable after rain, and lighter colours or shade can help keep the surface cooler for daytime running.

Questions
Running tracks FAQs
What surface is used for running tracks?
Seamless polyurethane is the standard for athletics and jogging tracks. It gives consistent grip and comfortable energy return, wears well, and can be specified in different thicknesses depending on whether the track is recreational or for training and events.
Can you build a jogging track in a park or community?
Yes. Community and park jogging paths are a common request. We set out a safe route, prepare the base and drainage, and install a durable surface, often with bright EPDM colours, plus distance markers if you want them.
How long does a polyurethane track last?
With correct installation and routine care, polyurethane tracks last many years, with the exact life depending on usage, sun exposure and maintenance. Periodic cleaning and minor repairs keep the surface safe and consistent over time.
Do you install rooftop or compact fitness tracks?
Yes. Where a full oval will not fit, we build straight sprint tracks, looped fitness paths or rooftop running surfaces, planning loadings and drainage as needed so the track suits the space available.
Can you add lane markings to an existing track?
Yes. If the surface is sound, we can set out and apply lane lines, distances and start and finish markings, or refresh faded ones. Where the surface itself is worn, we advise on repair or resurfacing before re-marking.
